We prevent infections by keeping them from entering the body. Coronavirus can enter the body when we touch the eyes, nose or mouth with a contaminated hand that has picked up the virus from a surface.
Soap dissolves Coronavirus' fat membrane, causing it to fall apart and become inactive. We are said to touch our faces up to 1,000 times a day, so washing your hands is the best way to prevent infection.
If you do become infected, washing your hands will help prevent you from spreading the virus further.
